See how much return shareholders of Commercial banks witnessed after Monetary policy

In a time period of less than a month, the share prices of almost all the commercial banks have hiked in a good percentage. There are  8 commercial banks whose prices have hiked by more than 40 percent.

The price of Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has increased by 60.55 percent in less than a month’s time. The bank share’s price in NEPSE stood at Rs 910 as on July 22, 2015 (a day before monetary policy unveiled) whereas its last traded share price on August 18, 2015 (yesterday) stood at Rs 1461 per unit.

The share price of Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) has climbed up second mostby 57.45 percent.  Its share price has hiked to Rs 1,110 on August 18 from Rs 705 on July 22.

The share price of Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) on July 22, 2015 was Rs 830 whereas its last traded price as on August 18 stands at Rs 1272.

It’s only the price of state owned Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) that has decreased by a meager 1.07 percent. Its last traded price on August 18 was at Rs 278.

The shares of Mega bank, NMB bank are not being traded in NEPSE as they have entered into the merger process with other financial institutions. Grand Bank is in the process of being acquired by Prabhu Bank so Grand Bank is not being traded in NEPSE. RastriyaBanijya Bank is not traded in NEPSE as it is yet to float its IPO for the general Public.
