Sarbottam Cement’s Net Profit Drops 67.95% in Q1; Revenue Grows 11.57%, EPS at Rs. 7.96

Sarbottam Cement Limited (SARBTM) has reported a 67.95% decline in net profit, standing at Rs. 10.39 crore in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year 2083/84, compared to Rs. 32.43 crore in the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations increased by 11.57% to Rs. 2.20 Arba, while other income grew by 20.05% to Rs. 6.54 crore. Meanwhile, total expenses declined by 16.37% to Rs. 22.60 crore. Despite the growth in revenue and lower expenses, the company’s net profit declined significantly during the review period.

SARBTM’s annualized earnings per share (EPS) fell by 69.47% to Rs. 7.96 from Rs. 26.07. However, net worth per share increased by 6.56% to Rs. 200.34. The company’s paid-up capital stood at Rs. 5.22 Arba, while other equity increased by 21.35% to Rs. 4.91 Arba.

Its revaluation reserve remained unchanged at Rs. 33.69 crore, while investments stood at Rs. 1.31 Arba. The company’s property, plant and equipment stood at Rs. 9.10 Arba, and trade receivables increased by 8.40% to Rs. 3.77 Arba.

At the end of Q1 FY 2083/84, Sarbottam Cement’s quarter-end P/E ratio stood at 101.78 times, with its quarter-end market price at Rs. 810 per share.
