RMDC Organizes TOT On Financial Literacy
RMDC branch office, Itahari organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) at Gokarna Resort and Party Palace Pvt. Ltd. Morang. This training was held from Chaitra 26 to 28, 2074. There were 27 Financial Institutions participated from 10 working districts of RMDC, Itahari branch. There were altogether 31 participants of management level staffs present in the training.
The program was facilitated by Mr. Govinda Prasad Poudel, Branch Manager, Itahari branch while the welcome speech was given by Mr. Bhola Nath Regmi. He mentioned about the objectives of this TOT on financial sector and impacts of this TOT program.
The trainer of the program was Mr. Prakash Koirala, Managing director of FINLIT Nepal Private Ltd. During this three days training, trainer Mr. Koirala, discussed about the meaning of financial literacy, its importance, value of time, importance of money, importance of saving , process of saving, loan management process, Vocational planning development, process of utilizing money received from remittance, process and important of insurance through games, presentations, discussions and audio-visual methods. At the end of training, participants shared that the training was very useful and they committed to share their knowledge with their colleagues. In closing ceremony, Mr. Koirala, the trainer of the program, shared his view that the objective of the training will only be achieved when all the participants utilize the learning in their financial literacy activities. The manager of the RMDC, Mr. Bhola Nath Regmi thanked the participants for their active participation and also highlighted that every Microfinance, Financial Institution Non-Government Organization (FINGO), Cooperatives should disseminate this training to each members and stakeholders of the organizations.
