NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards Debut in Pokhara, Honouring Nepal’s Sporting Icons
The 22nd edition of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards was held in Pokhara for the first time, bringing together Nepal’s top athletes, coaches, officials, and sports journalists to celebrate outstanding achievements in national and international sports. Cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee and karate athlete Erika Gurung were crowned Male and Female Players of the Year respectively, with Airee also receiving a Pulsar NS 200 ABS motorcycle.
The ceremony recognized excellence across 11 categories, highlighting athletes who elevated Nepal’s sporting profile in 2025. Bajaj, the title sponsor, reaffirmed its commitment to developing Nepali sports through continuous support of talent development programs and major competitions.
Veteran athlete Khadga Bahadur Ranabhat was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while senior coach Tulsi Kumar Gurung received a Special Award for his contributions to nurturing athletic talent. The event saw a strong presence of government officials, sports authorities, athletes, and fans, underscoring the growing stature of the awards, which remain Nepal’s most prestigious and transparent sports recognition platform.
