Beni Hydropower IPO Oversubscribed 15.80 Times on Third Day

Beni Hydropower Project Limited has opened its initial public offering (IPO) of 8,63,200 ordinary shares to the general public from 22nd Bhadra, 2083, at a face value of Rs. 100 per share.

The company has an issued capital of Rs. 1.04 arba, of which 20%, equivalent to 20,80,000 shares, has been allocated for public issuance. Of the total issued capital, 10%, or 10,40,000 shares worth Rs. 10.40 crore, was reserved for project-affected locals of Solukhumbhu district. The remaining 10%, comprising 10,40,000 shares, has been allocated for the general public.

Of the shares designated for the general public, 10%, equivalent to 1,04,000 shares, was reserved for Nepali citizens working abroad. Similarly, 2% of the general public issue, or 20,800 shares, has been set aside for company employees, while 5%, or 52,000 shares, has been reserved for mutual funds. Following these allocations, the remaining 8,63,200 shares have been offered to the general public.

As of 5:15 AM on Bhadra 23, data from CDS and Clearing Limited shows that 11,69,184 applicants have applied for a total of 1,36,44,340 shares. The IPO has already been oversubscribed by 15.80 times.

Due to the public holiday on Bhadra 23 on the occasion of Gen Z Sahid Diwas, the IPO application will close on 26th Bhadra, 2083.
