NIBL provides assistance worth Rs 10m

Nepal Investment Bank Ltd (NIBL) provided financial assistance of Rs 10 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund on Wednesday to support earthquake-affected people.
NIBL’s Chairman Prithivi Bahadur Pande handed over a cheque of the said amount to Prime Minister Sushil Koirala amidst a function at the Prime Minister’s Office in Baluwatar, as per a statement issued by the bank today. CEO of NIBL Jyoti Prakash Pandey was also present at the function.
The statement further adds that the bank has already distributed various relief materials to quake affected people, including corrugated sheets, tents, food and clothing worth Rs 16 million in quake affected areas — Dhading, Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lamjung, Makawanpur and Nuwakot, among others.
During the function, NIBL chairman also expressed the bank’s commitment to provide support and assistance for restoration of national monuments listed by UNESCO World Heritage Centre that were destroyed by the earthquake.
As its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the bank has been contributing to various needy areas with intent to give back to the society. Since the past 12 years, NIBL has been actively providing assistance for restoration of national heritage sites, infrastructure development of arts and sports, and has also been involved in many more social development programmes and activities.
