NEPSE Witnessed Loss of 0.73% to Close at 2,694.20 Levels; AKJCL Leads Turnover While Only One Sector Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 19.85 points (0.73%) to settle at 2,694.20. This follows a 17.53 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,714.77, touching an intraday high of 2,719.62, while the lowest point was 2,688.08. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 9.10 Arba, with 22,060,454 shares traded across 329 companies through 110,728 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.23 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.39 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 55.52 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 326.40.


Mithila LaghuBitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MLBBL) led the gainer's list with 9.70% each.


Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 10.00%.


Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.55%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 1.75%.
