NEPSE to Remain Closed on Monday, Govt Declares Public Holiday on The Occasion of Ghatasthapana

The Government of Nepal has declared a public holiday today, Monday (Ashwin 6), to celebrate Ghatasthapana.
As a result, the Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) will remain closed for the day. Regular trading will resume on Tuesday, Ashwin 7, 2082, at 11:00 AM.
Ghatasthapana marks the first day of Dashain, a major festival in Nepal. It symbolizes the beginning of rituals by sowing barley seeds for the Jamara, which are used in later ceremonies.
