NEPSE Settles Today's Session With a Loss of 0.02% to Close at 2,644.70 ; Six Compaines Hit Positive Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 0.53 points (0.02% ) to settle at 2,644.70. This follows a 4.28 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2640.9, touching an intraday high of 2,652.52, while the lowest point was 2,638.17. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.48 Arba, with 10,810,106 shares traded across 324 companies through 56,009 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.40 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.03 Kharba.

United Modi Hydropower Ltd. (UMHL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 31.81 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 496.80.

Six Companies led the gainer's list by 10.00% each.

Meanwhile, Green Ventures Limited (GVL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.85%.

Among sectors, Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.75%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 0.62%.
