NEPSE reacts to political buzz; surges 11.55 points

NEPSE index bounced today by 11.55 points or 1.3 percent to close at 901.98 level.
Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float gained 0.92 and 1.27 percent to close at 192.92 and 63.57 level respectively.
Altogether 549,899 unit shares of 105 scrips were traded through 1,569 transactions worth Rs 246.35 million.
Opening at 890.48 level this afternoon the local bourse slipped meager points till the mid trading hour but thereafter the news of the local political parties in the country again trying to come on the common floor boosted the market.
Political influence is hence observed in the market which is playing positive role in the current scenario as the index is gaining points from continuous 3 trading days.
Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 9.17 points or 1.18 percent to close at 783.69 level respectively.
Trading and Insurance surged by 8.95 and 170.51 points to close at 216.91 and 3774.81 levels respectively.
Development and HydroPower gained 2.6 and 4.06 points to settle at 751.59 and 2032.75 levels respectively.
Finance on the contrary dropped by 0.28 point or 0.05 percent to close at 516.24 level.
LBL, CHCL, EBL, BOK and NLIC were the most traded shares.
NLIC, MSBBL, JEFL, ALICL, BUDBL and RHPC were among the top gainers of the day whereas SLBBL,
LLBS, EDBL, MFL and DDBL were among the top losers.
5,00,00,000 units shares of Laxmi Value Fund -1 (LVF1) has been listed which will be tradable through public window after 7 days.
Also today was the closing day of the 1:1.15 ratio of Right Share issue of Premier Insurance Company Limited.
