NEPSE Jumps Nearly 2% to 2,931.55 as Market Sees Strong Momentum

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining by 54.51 points (1.89%) to settle at 2,931.55. The index has gained 64.67 point in previous week last trading day (Thursday).

The benchmark index opened at 2890.08, touching an intraday high of 2,939.08 , while the lowest point was 2,890.68. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 23.59 Arba, with 61,407,074 shares traded across 364 companies through 204,955 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 49.68 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.96 Kharba.

 


Kumari Bank Limited topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 85.96 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 243.20. 


Six company registered the highest gain in the intraday trading session with 10% Upper Circuit. 

 


Meanwhile,  Nic Asia Balance Fund (NICBF) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.71%.

Among sectors, the Microfinance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 4.21%, and trading index recorded the small loss, loosing 0.11%. All index closes at green except Trading Index.
