NEPSE Index Plummets by 26.05 Points to Settle at 2,672.39 Levels ; Only One Sector Closes at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 26.05 points (0.96%) to settle at 2,672.39. This follows a 10.24 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2701.61, touching an intraday high of 2,702.75, while the lowest point was 2,665.02. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 10.77 Arba, with 26,766,347 shares traded across 324 companies through 102,281 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.87 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.26 Kharba.

Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 77.19 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 316.30.

Khanikhola Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KKHC) led the gainers list with 9.97% each.

Meanwhile, Maya Khola Hydropower Company Limited (MKHC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.40%.

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.24%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 2.29%.
