NEPSE Index Dips by 5.03 Points to Close at 2,609.03; SAIL Leads Turnover While Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 3.73 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, declining by 5.03 points (0.19%) to settle at 2,609.03. This follows a 7.39 point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,613.84, touching an intraday high of 2,618.53, while the lowest point was 2,596.70. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 3.73 Arba, with 8,647,948 shares traded across 329 companies through 91,394 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.80 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.79 Kharba.

Shreenagar Agritech Industries Limited (SAIL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 26.39 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 830.20.

Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWASTIK) and Muktinath Krishi Company Limited (MKCL) led the gainers' list by 10.00% each.

 

Meanwhile, Jhapa Energy Limited (JHAPA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.30%. 

Among sectors, the Hydropower Index registered the highest loss, losing 0.66%, while the Manufacturing and Processing Index saw the highest gain at 1.22%.
