NEPSE Index Closes With a Minimal Gain of 0.18% To Settle at 2,838.40 Level; NHPC Leads Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a single digit gain today, surging by 5.36 points (0.18%) to settle at 2,838.40. This comes after a loss of 33.83 points in the previous trading session yesterday.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,835.22 and reached an intraday high of 2,843.57, while the day’s low stood at 2,808.02. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 7.46 Arba, with 20,743,884 shares traded across 342 companies through 111,607 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 48.31 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 16.11 Kharba.

 

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 66.86 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 318.50.

 

In today’s trading session, five companies hit the positive circuit limit of 10%, including RLEL, SKHEL, HFIN, PCIL, and SIPD.


Meanwhile, Asian Hydropower Limited (AHL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 4.54%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 555.00

 

Out of 13 indices, five indices closed in green. Among sectors, the Manufacturing and Processing registered the highest fall, falling 1.40%, while Non life Insurance recorded highest fall, falling by 0.51%.
