NEPSE Index Closes With a loss of 8.16 Points To Settle at 2,662.91 ; Three Scrips Hit Upper Circuit While Only Three Indices Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 8.16 points (0.30%) to settle at 2,662.91. This follows a 8.97 point gain in the last trading day of previous week.

The benchmark index opened at 2,674.54, touching an intraday high of 2,682.20, while the lowest point was 2,657.67. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.94 Arba, with 19,616,395 shares traded across 335 companies through 80,559 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.71 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.23 Kharba.

 

Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 65.03 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 329.00.


Three companies hit upper circuit with 10.00% change in each.

 

 

Khanikhola Hydropower Co. Ltd. (KKHC) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.38%.


Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.56%, while the HydroPower Index saw the highest loss, losing 1.02%.
