NEPSE Edges Down By 4.28 to Close at 2,645.24 ; UMHL Leads Turnover While Intraday Turnover Stood at 4.71 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 4.28 points (0.16% ) to settle at 2,645.24. This follows a 26.51 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2648.34, touching an intraday high of 2,658.42, while the lowest point was 2,630.66. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.71 Arba, with 10,860,828 shares traded across 342 companies through 60,620 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.41 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.03 Kharba.

United Modi Hydropower Ltd. (UMHL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 27.1 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 590.90.

Four Companies led the gainer's list by 10.00% each.

Meanwhile, Nifra Green Energy Debenture 6% - 2088/89 (NIFRAGED) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.51%.

Among sectors, Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.91%, while the Investment Index saw the highest loss at 0.73%.
