NEPSE down by 3.02 percent after resumption of trading

After NEPSE resumed it’s trading after the massive earthquake of April 25, it dropped down huge by 28.37 points or 3.02 percent to close at 909.82 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float also came down by 2.8 and 2.84 percent to close at 195.79 and 64.55 level respectively.

Altogether 593,078 unit shares of 35 companies were traded through 249 transactions worth only Rs 115.36 million.

The maximum number of sellers were seen in the market with very few buyers.

Among the sub-indices, HydroPower plunged by huge 151.78 points or 6.99 percent to close at 2020.57 level amid the fall in share price of CHCL by Rs 159.

Insurance was the second highest loser which dropped by 138.14 points or 3.65 percent to close at 3642.1 level. NLIC dropped by Rs 410 to close at 3691 level.

None of the Non-Life Insurance companies were traded today.

Banking slipped by 19.02 points or 2.3 percent to close at 808.88 level whereas Development and
Finance Plunged by 2.7 points and 1.46 points to settle at 786.37 and 528.15 levels respectively.

PRVUPO and NLICP were the top traded shares where as MSBBL and NNFCPO were the only scrip to land in green today.

22 out of 33 scrips faced the lower circuit today in which NBBL, NLIC, SMFDB, EBL and CHCL were the top in the loser side.
