NEPSE Concludes Week With 1.29% Loss and Turnover of Rs 36.73 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

The market traded for Four days this week as Thursday was a public holiday.

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,623.83 after losing 34.19 points (1.29%). The index closed at 2,658.02 last week losing 2.38% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,684.51 and as low as 2,622.72 hence witnessing volatility of 61.79 points. The index had seen volatility of 82.81 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 15.09 points on Tuesday with a turnover of Rs 5.57 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 36.73 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 37.82. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 47.36.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the negative zone i.e., below zero with the MACD reading at -9.40.

Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index above the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,600 - 2,560 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,780 zone will act as resistance.
