RSP Commences Two Day Orientation for Newly Elected MPs
The Rastriya Swatantra Party has begun a two-day orientation program in Lalitpur for its newly elected House of Representatives members, aiming to enhance their knowledge of parliamentary practices, policy-making, and legislative responsibilities.
The program commenced on Tuesday at 11 AM and was inaugurated by Vice-Chair Dol Prasad Aryal. Alongside Vice-Chair Swarnim Wagle, he briefed participants on the objectives of the training. Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane, Senior Leader Balendra Shah, General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti, and other senior leaders are also set to take part in the sessions.
On the first day, team-building exercises are being led by Megh Ale and Anil Chitrakar. Vice-Chair Wagle is facilitating discussions on the country’s current context, party commitments, and the role of lawmakers. Former Secretary Suresh Adhikari is providing training on parliamentary structure and functions, while former Law Secretary Toyanath Adhikari is guiding participants on the legislative process.
The RSP won 182 seats under the first-past-the-post (FPTP) and proportional representation (PR) system in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections conducted on March 5.
