NEPSE Closes with a Minimal Loss of 1.64 Points to Settle at 2,681.50 ; Four Companies Hit Upper Circuit

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 1.64 points (0.06%) to settle at 2,681.50. This follows a 12.58 point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2660.98, touching an intraday high of 2,702.90, while the lowest point was 2,659.86. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.49 Arba, with 16,682,626 shares traded across 326 companies through 80,422 transactions. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.02 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.3 Kharba.


Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 80 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 354.20.


Four Companies Hit Upper Circuit with 10.00% each.


Meanwhile, HLI Large Cap Fund (HLICF) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.54%.


Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.93%, while the Manufacturing And Processing saw the highest loss at 0.53%.
