NEPSE closes above 890 level; turnover over Rs 273 million

The local bourse closed above 890 level gaining 18.49 points or 2.12 percent to settle at 890.43 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float also gained 2.14 and 2.05 percent to close at 191.16 and 62.77 levels respectively.
NEPSE gained more than 25 points within the first hour to touch the intraday high of 897.93 mark. But as the major political parties were not able to come on the common floor, the market started losing points and fell down to 881.72 level till the second trading hour and thereafter went slight up to close at 890.43 level at the end.
Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 20.97 points or 2.78 percent to close at 774.52 level.
Similarly HydroPower and Others gained 79.77 and 19.97 points or 4.09 and 2.91 percent to close at 2028.69 and 707.26 levels respectively.
Development and Insurance surged by 1.15 and 44.48 points or 0.15 and 1.25 percent to close at 748.99 and 3604.30 level respectively.
Finance was the only sector to land in red today losing meager 0.75 points to close at 516.52 level.
Altogether 691,694 unit shares of 92 scrips were traded through 1,986 transactions worth Rs 273.07 million.
CHCL, EBL, NBL, BOK and LUBL were the most traded shares of the day.
BUDBL, WDBL, MDB, OFL and LICN were the top gainers of the day.
LFLC, MBBL, CBBL, NLICL and RHPC were among the top losers of the day.
