Nisov Piya, a Gen-Z Nepali trader in the United States stock market, has earned a recognition after delivering 61.9% annual returns in the United States Investing Championship (USIC), one of the most prestigious global stock market competitions.

At just 26 years old, he secured the 18th position among the top participants. In January 2026 alone, he generated 11.9% returns from stock trading.

Held every year, the competition featured 579 participants, including world’s top millionaires and billionaires, each competing with a real money account tracked from the beginning of the competition.

The entry fee is approximately $450. Participants portfolios are tracked daily and final standings are based on verified annual returns. The competition includes different categories, included stocks and enhanced growth division, which allows the trading of futures and options.

Piya expressed happiness over the recognition, saying, “I am happy that I am ranked among the world’s top traders.” He expressed hope that his success will inspire aspiring traders.

Piya’s investment approach focuses on disciplined execution and identifying emerging themes early including space and defense innovation, uranium, quantum computing, robotics, gold and silver. His methodology blends systematic and fundamental strategies designed for long term scalability.

USIC is a real money verified competition which provides traders an opportunity to showcase their talent on the world platform. Established in 1983, USIC has managed to feature legendary traders, including David Ryan, Louis Bacon, Paul Tudor Jones, Mark Minervini, Sheen Kassouf, Tom Basso, Gil Blake, Doug Kass, Dr Edward O. Thorp, and Mark Strome.

Born and raised in Chitwan, Nepal, Piya moved to America at 17 years old. His journey reflects perseverance, discipline and long-term vision rather than overnight success. Just a few years ago, he worked factory shifts in Medford while simultaneously driving for DoorDash, Uber, and Uber Eats to support himself. These jobs offered flexible hours and screen time so he could continue studying financial markets, and developing the pattern recognition skills required to compete at a high level.

Alongside trading, he currently serves as a General Manager overseeing multiple restaurant operations in Green Bay. He has also launched his own firm, Nisov Capital, with a long-range vision of building a disciplined investment platform capable of managing significant capital.

Beyond financial markets, he remains active in the Green Bay community. As a general manager, he has introduced operational system improvements and philanthropic initiatives, including recent donations to the YMCA of Greater Green Bay supporting Parkinson’s and mental health programmes, as well as contributing to Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
