Nepal Chamber of Commerce highlighted the need for policy facilitation to strengthen the country’s industrial and business environment during a meeting with Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Anil Kumar Sinha, at Chamber Bhawan, Kathmandu. Chamber President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal emphasized the importance of ensuring security for entrepreneurs, promoting domestic investment, and clearly directing remittances toward a production-oriented economy.
He noted that Nepal’s average industrial capacity utilization declined from 48.3% in 2080/81 to 44.5% in 2081/82. Agrawal also called for policy stability, export incentives, and global market outreach. Minister Sinha assured that the government is working to simplify administrative procedures, protect domestic investment, facilitate exports, and create a supportive industrial environment.
