Nabil Balanced Fund & Nabil Equity Fund reports net loss of Rs 7.86 crore & Rs 5.40 crore respectively in Kartik end

Nabil Balanced Fund-1 (NBF1), a closed-end five years mutual fund scheme managed by Nabil Investment Banking Limited has reported Rs 0.54 per unit decline in its Net Asset Value (NAV) in Kartik, 2074. According to the financial report published today, the mutual fund scheme’s NAV has decreased to Rs 18.70 at the end of Kartik, 2074 from Rs 19.24 posted in Ashwin, 2074. The NAV of the fund is above the par value of Rs 10 per unit. The scheme, which began with a total fund of Rs 75 crore, has investment of Rs 89.33 arba in 73 listed companies’ shares, Rs 11.44 crore in debentures, and Rs 5.79 crore in non-listed shares as of Kartik end. The fund reported a net loss of Rs 7.86 crore in the month of Kartik from Rs 3.82 crore last month. Out of its total investment in listed shares, Nabil Balanced Fund-1 has bought 61,659 unit shares, the highest shares of Janata Bank Nepal Limited (JNBL). The last traded price (LTP) of NBF-1 stood at Rs 17.33 as on November 27, 2017. Likewise, Nabil Equity Fund (NEF), another closed-end seven years mutual fund scheme managed by Nabil Investment Banking Limited has also posted decrease in its Net Asset Value. According to the financial report published today, the mutual fund scheme’s NAV slightly declined to Rs 9.54 at the end of Kartik, 2074 from Rs 9.77 posted in Ashwin, 2074. The NAV of the fund is below the par value of Rs 10 per unit. The scheme, which began with a total fund of Rs 1.25 arba, has investment of Rs 61.92 crore in 50 listed companies’ shares, Rs 12.50 crore in fixed deposits, and Rs 3.92 crores in shares of companies that have not been listed as of Kartik end. The fund reported a net loss of Rs 5.40 crore in Kartik from net loss of Rs 2.44 crore last month. Out of its total investment in listed shares, Nabil Equity Fund has bought the highest shares (30,836 units) of Nepal Investment Bank Promoter Shares (NIBPO). The last traded price (LTP) of NEF stood at Rs 10.26 as on November 27, 2017.
