Market to Remain Closed Today Due to Data Center Issue

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will remain closed today, September 21, 2026, due to a technical problem at the data center of Data Hub Pvt. Ltd., where the servers of 72 stockbroker companies are hosted.

According to NEPSE, the technical issue has been affecting the data center since the morning of September 20 and has not yet been resolved despite ongoing efforts. NEPSE said operating the market under the current situation could potentially affect its trading system.

The decision was made after the Stock Brokers Association of Nepal also requested that today’s regular trading session be closed. NEPSE has closed the market in accordance with Rule 21(1) of the Securities Listing and Trading Regulations, 2075, and apologized for the inconvenience caused to investors and other stakeholders.
