Kantipur Televisions van torched

KATHMANDU, MAY 27 -
Normal life in the nation has been affected owing to the bandh called by the Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekta Party on Friday.
The party has called two-day nation wide bandh, as part of its protest programme ahead of a dire constitutional breakdown.
Meanwhile, the party cadres torched Kantipur Televisions van that was ferrying its staff at Balaju in the Capital early morning today. They also torched a bus of Nepal Yatayat at Lokanthali micro-bus at Maitidevi and a taxi at Basundhara this morning.
Transportation come to a grinding halt and market areas, academic institutions remained shut. Thousands of travelers have been left stranded along the highways due to the strike.
The party is scheduled to picket the Constituent Assembly building in New Baneshwor demanding dissolution of the CA and formation of a national consensus government.
