ICRA Nepal Downgrades Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ratings, Removes Negative Watch

ICRA Nepal Limited has downgraded the ratings of Nepal Investment Mega Bank Limited while removing them from the ‘Watch with Negative Implications’ category.

The bank’s issuer rating has been lowered to [ICRANP-IR] A- from A@, and its subordinated debentures (NPR 4 billion and NPR 2 billion) have been downgraded to [ICRANP] LA- from LA@.

Despite the downgrade, the ratings indicate an adequate level of safety in servicing financial obligations and low credit risk. ICRA clarified that the ratings reflect general creditworthiness and do not serve as investment recommendations.
