Government Appoints Pitambar Bhandari as CEO of Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund

The government has appointed Pitambar Bhandari as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund.

A Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to appoint Bhandari to the position based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Finance.

Bhandari was formally handed his appointment letter by Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle during a program held at the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.

While presenting the appointment letter, Minister Wagle congratulated Bhandari and wished him a successful tenure. He also urged the newly appointed CEO to uphold the dignity and credibility of the institution and remain committed to the responsibility of protecting citizens' deposits, according to the Finance Minister's Secretariat.

The Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund plays a key role in safeguarding depositors and supporting the country's financial stability through deposit and credit guarantee mechanisms.
