Gold Prices Surge by Rs. 700 per Tola, Silver Follows Suit with 160 Rupees Gain

Gold and silver prices in Nepal have climbed, continuing a strong upward trend in the domestic bullion market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold rose by Rs. 700 per tola on Friday to reach an all-time high of Rs. 277,200 per tola.

The surge reached its peak on January 14, 2026, with fine gold reaching an all-time high of Rs. 278,000 per tola.

Tejabi gold also recorded a sharp rise, increasing by Rs. 700 per tola to Rs. 276,500 from the earlier Rs. 275,800 per tola.

Silver followed the upward momentum as well, gaining Rs. 160 per tola to settle at a new peak of Rs. 5,645 per tola, compared to its earlier price of Rs. 5,485 per tola.
