Citizenship Certificate Copies to Be Issued to Flood-Affected Families in Nuwakot
The District Administration Office in Rasuwa has started collecting applications to provide copies of citizenship certificates to flood-affected residents of Uttargaya Rural Municipality currently staying at holding centres in Nuwakot.
Chief District Officer Kamal Prasad Pandey said applications had been collected from affected residents of Ward No. 1 of Uttargaya at the Pipaltar Holding Centre.
The initiative aims to help people who lost important documents in the August 26 Bhotekoshi flood obtain replacement citizenship certificates without having to travel back to their affected areas.
According to Pandey, the certificates will be issued after the submitted documents are reviewed and verified. The administration plans to distribute them at the facilities where the affected residents are currently staying.
The move is expected to ease access to relief, rehabilitation and other essential administrative services for families displaced by the disaster.
