Gold Drops By Rs. 9,500 in Single Day; Silver Follows Suit With 620 Rupee Drop
The domestic fine gold market recorded a notable decline on Thursday, with prices falling by Rs. 9,500 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is currently being traded at Rs. 2,95,200 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs. 3,04,700 per tola.
Likewise, Tejabi gold has dropped to Rs. 2,94,500 per tola, marking a decrease of Rs. 9,500 from Thursday’s price of Rs. 3,04,000 per tola.
The latest correction follows a recent surge, when fine gold hit an all-time high of Rs. 3,39,300 per tola on January 29, 2026.
Meanwhile, silver prices also declined by Rs. 620 per tola, with the metal now trading at Rs. 4,980 per tola, compared to Rs. 5,600 per tola a day earlier.
In the international market, gold is trading at $4,890.80 per ounce, while silver is priced at $77.22 per ounce.
