Gold Drops By Rs. 18,800 in Single Day; Silver Follows Suit With 1,565 Rupee Drop

The fine gold market witnessed a decline, with prices dropping by Rs. 18,800 per tola.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is currently trading at Rs. 3,00,000 per tola, down from Rs. 3,18,800 per tola.
Similarly, Tejabi gold has fallen to Rs. 299,300 per tola, reflecting a decrease of Rs. 18,800 from the previous day’s Rs. 3,18,100 per tola.
This correction comes after fine gold had reached a record high of Rs. 3,39,300 per tola on January 29, 2026.
Meanwhile, silver prices also slipped by Rs. 1,565 per tola, now trading at Rs. 5,500 per tola, down from Rs. 7,065 per tola the previous day.
On the global market today, gold is priced at $4,891.40 per ounce, while silver is trading at $85.40 per ounce.
