General Insurance begins operation as new player in non-life insurance sector; to issue 30 crore worth of IPO shares

General Insurance Company Limited, a new player in insurance business, has begun its operation from its corporate office located at Hatisar of Kathmandu on Asad 6, 2075. The insurance company was inaugurated by chairman of the company Mr. Kunal Kyal amid a program.

The insurance company has targeted to maintain a paid up value of Rs 1 arba out of which 70% belong to the promoter investors while remaining 30% i.e. Rs 30 crore will belong to the public shareholders. It is mulling to issue shares to general public in a near future, as mentioned in its press note.
