Finance Minister Khanal Assures Full Support for March 5 Election, Emphasizes Economic Focus

Minister for Finance Rameshwor Khanal has assured that the government will ensure no shortage of resources for the successful conduct of the March 5 House of Representatives election.

Speaking at the Nepal Tourism Symposium 2026, jointly organized by the Nepal Tourism Board and Parishuchak Media, Minister Khanal emphasized that the government is fully committed to making the upcoming election a success.

He noted that the government now intends to shift its focus towards economic agendas, citing political instability as the biggest challenge at present. Khanal also acknowledged that promises made by the previous government to provide industry-level facilities to the tourism sector had not been fully realized.

Highlighting the interim government's efforts to strengthen the national economy, the Finance Minister outlined that several policy measures have been implemented to promote economic stability and growth.
