Everest Bank donates relief items for quake survivors

Everest Bank Limited has handed over 500 blankets to BP Samajik Kendra, an NGO, to be distributed among earthquake survivors. Issuing a press release, the bank said the blankets would help in the efforts to rehabilitate earthquake-affected people.
EBL on May 11 handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 50 lakh to be deposited into the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund and the bank is currently supporting various projects to provide shelters to the people rendered homeless by the earthquake.
Meanwhile, the bank has been providing uninterrupted services from nearly all of its outlets despite frequent tremors and after-shocks. In addition, the bank has continued to maintain its relief accounts both in Nepal and India to collect funds for earthquake survivors. The bank also offered a free remittance facility for one month to facilitate remittance.
