Documentary “Dimag Ghochne Manche” Premieres Celebrating Ujwal Thapa’s Inspirational Journey
The documentary “Dimag Ghochne Manche”, based on the life of Ujwal Thapa, premiered successfully on Poush 23 (January 7) at QFX Labim Mall, Lalitpur, and is now showing in theaters nationwide. The 1-hour 50-minute film highlights Thapa’s childhood, overseas education, civic activism, and contributions to alternative politics, emphasizing how one individual can drive meaningful social change.
The premiere was attended by prominent figures, including Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister Jagdish Kharel, former PM Baburam Bhattarai, and other dignitaries, family, and close associates. Funded by public contributions ranging from NPR 1 to 500,000, the documentary was produced by Ujwal Thapa Foundation and directed by Sudip Bhaju. Leaders at the event praised Thapa’s visionary leadership, youth development efforts, and enduring influence on Nepal’s political and social landscape.
