Daya Foundation Conveys Social Message Whilst Contributing to Covid-19 Treatment Infrastructure
The Daya Foundation has provided various medical equipment to various community and government hospitals with the objective of alleviating the challenges and problems faced during the treatment of the Corona epidemic in the country.
The foundation has provided 6 units of high flow nasal cannula, 5 units of 5-liter oxygen concentrator, 10 units of 10-liter oxygen concentrator, 15 units of the thermal gun, 15 units of the oximeter, and 1000 units of safety kit (PPE, face shield, sanitizer, mask, glove). The equipment has been distributed to Teku Hospital, Bir Hospital, Trauma Center, Chetrapati Free clinic, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, Tribhuwan Teaching Hospital, Patan Hospital, Nepal Ambulance Service, and Ananda Kuti Isolation Center.
Rajesh Pradhan, chairman of the Daya Foundation, said that the assistance provided by the organization was especially targeted at the treatment of low-income people and would help in the treatment of Covid-19 among the poor. He said that the private sector should also take the lead in social services. He said. He also thanked all concerned for their coordination, expressing his happiness that his organization has been able to take the lead in this critical time of health crisis due to COVID-19.
According to Kipa Mathema, former chairman of the organization, the foundation, which has been coordinating and coordinating programs related to covid will not only provide various health equipment but also organize various training for capacity building of the manpower involved in the treatment of the infected.
The Foundation is conducting a Virtual Training Program on Critical Care Nursing in collaboration with the Critical Care Nursing Association of Nepal and the Nepal Critical Care Development Foundation. The foundation has been conducting a training program from Jestha 09 with the objective of providing necessary special skills to the nurses during corona treatment. This training program will conclude on Jestha 21.
Daya Foundation is an organization established in 2009 in memory of late Dayaram Bhakt Mathema, a social worker, by his family as a family trust.
