Crusher Industries Stop Selling Ballast Sand from Saturday

Starting from Saturday, crusher industries have halted the supply of stone, gravel, and sand. This decision has been taken by the Federation of Nepal Crusher and Mining Industry Entrepreneurs (FNCMIE).
Since the crusher industry's registration has not been renewed, the Federation of Nepal Crusher and Mining Industry Entrepreneurs (FNCMIE) has announced a halt in the sale and distribution of stone, gravel, and sand from Saturday. They have decided to protest as the decision made on Magh 11 to renew the registration of the crusher industry has not been implemented.
On Ashad 3, FNCMIE had issued a warning that the supply of construction materials from the crusher industry would be discontinued nationwide if their demands were not met. The federation's general secretary, Purushottam Regmi, was quoted as stating that the government's failure to implement the decision has led to this strike.
He was quoted as saying, "The sale and distribution of stones, gravel, and sand will cease throughout the country."
According to the previous deadline, the illegally operating crusher industries are required to obtain legal status by the end of Ashad. Last Magh, the Council of Ministers decided to renew the licenses and registrations of industries that were valid at that time but could not be renewed due to certain standards, and they were given until Ashad to comply.
However, industrialists argue that all industries registered under the government's decision should be automatically legalized. The district's domestic and small industry offices are hesitant to renew the crushers as the Cabinet's decision remains unclear.
In an attempt to exert pressure for the decision's implementation, businessmen initiated the agitation. Following their protest, the government has shown a greater likelihood of granting legitimacy to the crusher industry for another year.
