Coca-Cola presents Youth Speak Forum for SDGS; joins hands with AISEC in Nepal to promote youth dialogue
Over 200 youth from across Nepal gathered for the Action for SDGs event presented by Coca-Cola in Nepal. The campaign was launched on April 26th with a CALL FOR IDEAS. The 2018 campaign theme is focused on Youth Action for Global Goals”
The event engaged youth with leaders from the government, corporate, social sector and UN agencies with keynotes delivered by Honorable Dr. Min Bahadur Shahi from the National Planning Commission, Mr. Renaud MeyerCountry Director UNDP Nepal, Mr. Puneet Varshney Managing Director Bottlers Nepal Ltd, Ms. Binita Karki Co-Founder 2030 youth force and Country Director of AIESEC Nepal Mr. Narayanan S.
AIESEC is a global youth run organization present in over 120 countries with a vision to achieve peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential. Through its various platforms they seek to inspire, engage and mobilize young people to take ownership of their thoughts and actions so as to make a difference and contribute to a better society.
The goal of the campaign has been to mobilize youth from across Nepal to submt ideas for addressing six particular SDGs that currently pertain specifically to Nepal. The event allows students to participate in a panel discussion and attend workshops on their chosen SDGs along with the opportunity to pitch their ideas for a chance to win cash prizes and a six-month incubation space for their ideas with AIESEC.
Post the Youth Speak Forum, AIESEC will convene its partners and well-wishers for their annual stakeholder’s dinner. This gala night affair is the celebration of AIESEC’s 70th year anniversary globally and 5th year in Nepal. The reflected on the leadership experiences created and highlighted the way forward for the youth of Nepal and the world.
