Civil Bank launches “Tab Banking” to reach the untapped mass of country; What does tab banking mean?
In order to deliver higher customer value, Civil Bank has launched “Civil Tab Banking” service. The said service allows the customer to enjoy banking facilities by sitting right at home. The launch event was attended by dignified Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank with various other respected personnel.
The customers wanting to take Civil Tab Banking services can open accounts, deposit checks and enjoy other services right at the comfort of their home or from office. In the event, the CEO of Civil Bank, Mr. Govinda Gurung highlighted the benefits of this service and expressed pride in being one of the pioneers to make banking services easy and paperless.
He said, “In our current system, we’ve seen many customers dissatisfied while opeining the bank account as they are asked 4/5 copies of photo, copy of citizenship certificate, water or electric bill, attendance of the nominee himself/herself and so on. However now through Tab Banking service, our employees will visit you at your home or at work and do the filling for you. The photo will also be taken in tab itself and will be updated in our server in real time basis. Similarly, the Tab will also have a built-in biometric system where we’ll be taking your thumb-print electronically. Similarly, you won’t need to scratch you head trying to make the map of your location, we’ll simply do it via GPS. The only thing you’ll need to have is your citizenship certificate and a few minutes.”
During the initial phase, the application will be limited to account opening and will be diversified later on.
The Chief Guest, Deputy Governor Mr. Shiba Raj Shrestha congratulated the bank and mentioned that it’s a very good initiative. This can not only help the busy population of cities, but will be remarkably helpful for the people living in rural parts with very minimal or no access to banking services.
