Citizens Bank inaugurates 6 new branches and announces establishment of 7 more; Find out where
Citizens Bank with the slogan of “Your partner for progress”, aims to reach the door steps of all the Nepali citizens. With an aim to expand their services to local level, on Baisakh 31, 2074 the CEO Mr. Rajan Singh Bhandari inaugurated six new branches with a click in the computer. The new branches are located in:
- Maasebung of Illam
- Likhu Pikey of Solukhumbu
- Sunpaati of Ramechhap
- Timaal of Kavre
- Hariharpurgadi of Sindhuli
- Khalsa Chintang of Dhankuta
Nepal Rastra Bank hs recently come with the directive to diversify the banking services all parts of the country to avail each citizens the perks of banking facility. However, as per the press statement Citizen Bank had started its endeavor to reach all parts of the country before the directive came out. Some of the examples are, establishment of branches at Simikot of Humla in 2068 BS and at Dolpa in 2070 BS. Other branches established in 2074/75 are in Chahara of Palpa, Bhumai of Nawalparasi, Manhari of Makwanpur, Badaitaal of Bardia, Haldibari of Jhapa, Aurahi of Mahottari, Sarkegaad of Humla, Simalchaur of Kaski and Banglachuli of Dang.
The press statement also informed that the banks had plans to open branches at:
- Jhimruk of Pyuthan
- Bhume of Purba Rukum
- Namkha of Humla
- Dhakari of Achham
- Mohanyal of Kailali
- Tokha and Thankot of Kathmandu
The bank is currently serving through a network of 74 branches, 69 ATMsand 97 branchless banking units.
