Citizens Bank Celebrates 19th Anniversary with Intra-Bank Cricket Tournament and Digital Banking Innovations

Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) successfully concluded the 9th Citizens Intra-Bank Indoor Cricket Tournament 2026 in Kathmandu on Falgun 29–30, celebrating the bank’s 19th anniversary. The two-day event saw active participation from 84 employees across 8 teams representing various departments and branches. CEO Ganeshraj Pokharel highlighted that such programs strengthen institutional culture, promote teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

Winners of the tournament were awarded prizes by the CEO. CZBIL, recognized as Bank of the Year 2024 and 2025, continues to innovate with digital banking initiatives such as the Citizens Fonepay Credit Card, Gen-Z Savings Account, Digi Bank Platform, Freelancer Services Account, and mobile app-based share application services. The bank operates 200 branches, 169 ATMs, and 42 branchless banking units across 61 districts, serving nearly 2 million customers with modern banking services.
