Citizen Investment Trust Partners with Kathmandu University for Endowment Fund Management

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) and Kathmandu University have signed an agreement regarding the management and operation of the university’s endowment fund. The agreement, signed on Monday in the presence of the university’s Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Achyut Prasad Wagle, was executed by CIT’s Executive Director Parbat Kumar Karki and Kathmandu University’s Prof. Dr. Rajeev Shrestha.

Under the agreement, the university will allocate annual contributions to the fund, which will be updated in the accounts of relevant faculty and staff. In accordance with fund regulations, the interest and returns generated from contributions will also be credited to faculty and staff accounts. The fund will provide loans to permanent faculty and staff, and, upon recommendation from the university, it will disburse endowment payments to retired faculty and employees.
