Bikash Hydropower Resumes Electricity Generation After Flood Repairs

Bikash Hydropower Company Limited has announced that electricity generation has resumed at the Upper Machha Khola Small Hydropower Project.
The power plant, which has a capacity of 4.5 megawatts, had to completely stop operations after a sudden and heavy flood in the Budhigandaki River on the morning of Ashwin 25 damaged its power transmission lines.
Following repair work, the project successfully resumed operations and restarted electricity production on the morning of Kartik 8.
