Big Movies Upgrades Cinema Hall with Advanced Projection and Dolby Atmos Sound

Big Movies has upgraded its cinema hall at City Centre, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, with advanced projection technology, Dolby Atmos sound and luxury seating.

The multiplex has installed a Barco Smart Laser projector with 21,000 lumens of brightness and 4K resolution to deliver clearer and brighter visuals. The system also supports a wide colour range for more lifelike images.

For sound, the hall now features a 64-channel Dolby Atmos system designed to create an immersive audio experience. The upgrade also includes 255 Champion Series theatre seats and 29 Royal Luxuria reclining seats, along with new carpeting, acoustic wall coverings and modern lighting.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Big Movies Chairman Rajendra Aryal said the renovation aims to improve the overall cinema experience by upgrading picture quality, sound and comfort.

Big Movies, which introduced the multiplex concept in Nepal around two decades ago, said the investment reflects its focus on keeping pace with changing technology and audience expectations.
