2,925 Candidates File Nominations for HoR Elections Nationwide

A total of 2,925 candidates have registered their nominations across 165 constituencies for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, the Election Commission (EC) reported today.

At a press conference, Election Commission Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut stated that the registrations include 336 female and 2,589 male candidates, with some constituencies verification still undergoing.

The lowest number of candidates was recorded in Mustang-4 and Manang-5, while Rupandehi constituencies 2 and 3 saw the highest with 35 candidates each. Candidacy in Mustang, Manang, and Rupandehi-2 has been finalized, while Rupandehi-3 is pending.

The Election Commission noted that the nomination process, conducted from 10 am to 5 pm today, proceeded peacefully across the country.
