12th NRNA World Conference and General Convention to Be Held in Kathmandu from March 14
The 12th Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) World Conference and Grand General Convention is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from March 14 to 16.
The decision was announced at a press conference held in the capital on Monday. According to the organizers, a high-level organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs to oversee the event. The committee’s secretariat has already begun preparatory work for the conference.
This year’s conference will be held under the slogan “Our Unity, the Foundation for Prosperity.”
According to a press statement, the Non-Resident Nepali movement, initiated in 2003 with the slogan “Nepalis for Nepalis,” has been working to unite Nepalis across the world under a single platform.
The statement also noted that organizational challenges that emerged within the Association were gradually addressed through self-reflection, dialogue, and cooperation during the NRNA’s 10th and 11th general conventions.
As a result, a historic and comprehensive unity within the NRNA was achieved on November 30, 2025, in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the statement added.
This unity has further strengthened the Association’s collective commitment to stability, solidarity, and its future direction, the statement said.
