Zonta Club of Kathmandu Donates 4 Oxygen Concentrators to Paropakar Hospital; aims to Help patients Combat COVID-19
The recent surge in COVID cases has resulted in a shortage of oxygen in hospitals across the country. This situation has been particularly grave for pregnant and recent mothers who are infected with COVID.
As a response to the increasing COVID cases in light of this crisis, Zonta Club of Kathmandu has donated 4 Oxygen Concentrators to the Paropkar Maternity and Women's Hospital (Prasuti Griha) in Thapathali.
The 4 Oxygen Concentrators were handed over yesterday to Dr. Subedi, Head Covid Wing Incharge at the hospital.
This is one of many initiatives that Zonta has taken in the fight against COVID, along with the distribution of food packets, PPE sets, and newly-born baby kits around Kathmandu and Lalitpur during the first lockdown in April 2020.
Through this initiative, Zn. Seema Golchha, President of Zonta Club of Kathmandu shares,
“With the mission of working towards the betterment of women and children, we hope that this support helps those in need."
