YET ANOTHER CIRCUIT BREAKER

Continuing its super bull rally, the secondary market of Nepal today also observed yet another 5 percent circuit breaker. Like of prior trading day, the market today also halted after one half hour of the trade i.e. from 1:36 PM, which is earlier than its regular closing scheduled time.
Owing to high demand, the market operation was suspended from 12:24 PM for 15 minutes after hitting 3 percent circuit breaker. Then again, the market came to halt for 30 minutes from 12:49 PM after inclining by 4 percent.
Following the 17 minutes after market resumption, the local bourse came to witness 5 percent incline after which the secondary market came to halt. Coming to an end, the stock index added 35.62 points to close at 806.82 levels.
Among sub-indices, Banking continued to make the hefty surge as it advanced by 45.97 points. Similarly, Development and Finance also propelled by 7.14 and 6.23 points.
Likewise, Hydro also made double digit increase of 69.24 points; alongside hydro, Insurance and Others also made health soar of 33.97 and 35.24 points respectively. As for Hotels, it made increment of 16.31 points.
Altogether there were trade of 98 scrips, among which 84 scrips gained, 7 scrips remained intact and 7 scrips suffered loss.
The best performer among the traded scrips was NMB Bank Ltd. (NMB), closed at Rs 475, with a gain of Rs 43 or 9.95 percent. Whereas the worst performer was Nerude Laghubita Bikas Bank Limited (NLBBL), closed at Rs 801, with loss of Rs 419 or 34.34 percent.
The scrips with the highest turnover in today’s trade was Nepal Bank Limited (NBL), closed at Rs 355, with trading of 138,028 units worth Rs 48,785,919 via only 103 transactions.
The total turnover of the market today stood at Rs 404,606,237 which was carried out through 1,636 transactions totaling 919,913 units. The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at Rs 818,981.41 million.
