Redmi 6 - Dual camera, octa-core speed

Redmi 6 sports the latest Helio P22 octa-core SoC that uses an ultra-efficient 12nm processor, which consumes about 48% lesser power than comparable 28nm chipsets. It pairs a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 up to 2.0GHz with an IMG PowerVR GE-class GPU. CPU and GPU performance are up to an impressive 30% and 72% faster respectively than competitor alternatives.

Redmi 6 has a 5.45-inch 18:9 Full Screen Display with an HD+ resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels. Its polycarbonate back panel has a look and feels akin to a brushed metal surface, and sports an arc design which symmetrically curves and gently tapers towards the edges, providing a great handfeel.

Redmi 6 has a 12MP + 5MP AI dual camera setup on the rear. The main sensor has 1.25µm large pixels—the largest among popular smartphones in this price range. Larger pixels take in more light than smaller ones, a huge advantage for improving photo quality and reducing noise, especially in low-light conditions. It also uses phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) to improve focusing speed so users won’t miss capturing important moments and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The 5MP front camera of Redmi 6 is supported by Xiaomi's AI Portrait mode, which renders a realistic bokeh effect with a single lens.

Redmi 6 features AI Face Unlock for fast unlocking which will be available soon in an OTA update. Out of the box, Redmi 6 runs Android Oreo-based MIUI 9.6, which comes with support for Full Screen Gestures to make best use of the screen. In the coming months, Redmi 6 will be upgraded to MIUI 10.

Redmi 6A offers great value, NPR 12999

Redmi 6A is the successor to Redmi 5A, being the best-selling Android phone globally in Q1 2018 according to Counterpoint Research.

Redmi 6A adopts a similar design language and screen as Redmi 6 - 5.45” 18:9  Full Screen Display with an HD+ resolution. It sports the Helio A22 SoC which makes Redmi 6A the only smartphone in this segment with a 12nm processor. Redmi 6A's 3000mAh all-day battery allows the phone to stay in standby mode for up to 9 days.

Redmi 6A has a 13MP rear camera featuring phase detection autofocus with Electronic Image Stabilization and a 5MP front camera—capable of using Xiaomi's AI Portrait mode. Redmi 6A comes with MIUI 9.6 based on Android O which has also been optimized, reducing system apps' memory usage by nearly 30%.

Redmi 6A features AI Face Unlock for fast unlocking which will be available soon in an OTA update. Users can also choose to enable raise to wake to make it more convenient. Following the legacy from Redmi 5A, Redmi 6A also features a dedicated microSD slot besides a dual SIM slot. In addition, Redmi 6A offers dual 4G capabilities.

It runs MIUI 9.6 based on Android Oreo, but an update to MIUI 10 will make its way in the coming months.

Mi A2 — Beautifully designed, with powerful 20MP dual cameras

Mi A2 comes with a trio of Sony image sensors, including a 20MP Sony IMX376 front camera and a 12MP + 20MP AI dual camera setup—one of the most powerful setups in this segment. Mi A2 takes gorgeous photos that are sure to impress.

The rear 20MP camera features the same Super Pixel-enabled sensor with a large ƒ/1.75 aperture, which results in clearer, vibrant photos even in low-light conditions. It is coupled with a 12MP primary camera that has 1.25µm large pixels and a ƒ/1.75 aperture as well, which allows Mi A2 to take photos with beautiful bokeh effects in AI portrait mode.

Another unique feature on Mi A2 is manual selection of the rear lens -- the 20MP or 12MP rear camera, according to environment lighting. For example, switching to the 20MP sensor when shooting in low-light situations takes advantage of the large 2.0µm pixels for brighter photos.

At the same time, Mi A2 is a dream come true for those who love selfies. The 20MP front sensor features Super Pixel technology that combines the information from four pixels to create one large 2.0µm pixel, which greatly improves the resulting picture quality in low-light conditions. Coupled with effects such as AI Portrait, AI Beautify 4.0 and HDR, as well as a 4500K front Selfie-light, taking a good-looking selfie becomes truly effortless. EIS (electronic image stabilization) also ensures that the videos shot on Mi A2 are stabilized.

Powered by Qualcomm® SnapdragonTM 660 platform with Artificial Intelligence Engine, Mi A2 offers a crisp, smooth experience. Advanced KryoTM 260 CPU cores, coupled with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, means Mi A2 offers a perfect blend of performance and power-efficiency.

Mi A2 Lite — Dual camera, two-day battery

Mi A2 Lite is one of the first Android One devices to feature a unique 19:9 display. This 5.84” FHD+ full screen display is housed in a relatively compact body, making it very convenient for one-handed use. The screen also comes with useful features such as Auto Contrast, Reading Mode and Night Mode.

Mi A2 Lite sports a 12MP + 5MP AI rear dual camera, with the 12MP primary sensor featuring large 1.25µm pixels and phase-detection autofocus for fast and accurate autofocus. It also has a 5MP front camera that supports AI Portrait Mode, which means photos can come with a bokeh effect even without a second lens.

With an impressive 4000mAh battery, Mi A2 Lite easily powers through 6 hours of continuous gaming and 34 hours of music playback. This is also thanks to the power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 platform, which allows Mi A2 Lite to cope with demanding 3D games while maintaining excellent battery life.
